A biopic on legendary actor Savithri, starring Samantha and Keerthy Suresh, is all set to go on the floors soon. Directed by Telugu director Nag Ashwin, the film will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual.
Titled Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil and Mahanati in Telugu, the mega budget movie will be produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema.
The film, which will be simultaneously made in both the languages, will focus on the yesteryear actor’s life and how she fought and curved out a space for her in the industry. According to sources, the film will also show the tragic episodes in the actor's life and how she managed to overcome them.
The first look of the film, with Savithri’s face in the front and Keerthy Suresh and Samantha in the back was released on Wednesday.
