Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, who will be seen as a dancer in his upcoming film, Munna Michael, will be paying a tribute to his favourite, the legendary international icon, Michael Jackson. Despite being a dancer, shooting for the action-dance film wasn't easy for him. The actor had to put in extra effort and also learn different dance forms during shooting.

“Everybody knows how well Michael Jackson talks, sings and dances. So, I couldn't fool the audience. There was a lot of expectation on the dance front, due to which I had to put in extra effort during the dance rehearsals and learn various dance forms. Also, while paying a tribute to MJ, I had to dance in pure Michael Jackson style for one minute. I did that over 40 times for a particular sequence. To maintain that same speed, power and accuracy was the real challenge,” he says.

Recalling the experience of seeing the singer live for the first time, the actor said he saw Jackson at the History Tour and it was his aura that made him crazy about the singer.

“I remember the first time I saw MJ on stage, I was sitting on my father's shoulders as I was really small. People were cheering and crying the moment they saw MJ walk in. I wondered why are people going mad about him. Soon, I realised that there was something exceptional about his aura and I wanted to feel the same. I am glad I was able to pay tribute to him through the film.”

So, is MJ's aura only limited to the actor's dance? Tiger disagrees. “His aura pushes me to work hard so that I, too, can become as famous as MJ. I also want to have a reach like him so that every child in every nook and corner of the world would know me,” he says.

Tiger, who is just three films old, is also keen to do musical films in the future. “Although, I want to explore more as an actor, I would like to work in a musical like Greece and La La Land," he said.

Recently, the actor's dance moves were appreciated by English actor Tom Holland, who played the lead in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
