The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is keeping his election promise and will soon launch a helpline as part of his plans to curb corruption. Complaints against government officials who demand bribes can be registered directly via this helpline. The highlight of this plan is that the helpline will be monitored directly by the CM’s office.

To prepare a roadmap for launching this helpline, the UP government has studied such systems presently operational in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Special secretary (I.T) Naveen Kumar was sent to Gujarat by the government to study the helplines there. Also, a team led by Commissioner Jhansi Amit Gupta was sent to Madhya Pradesh.

A presentation in this regard will be made before the chief minister. After incorporating his suggestions the helpline will become functional.
