The estranged wife of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Jashodaben, sustained minor injuries in a car accident in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, early on Wednesday morning.
According to initial reports, Jashodaben was returning with her relatives to Gujarat after attending a wedding in Kota, Rajasthan, when the vehicle they were travelling in rammed into a truck.
Jashodaben was taken to the district hospital in Chittorgarh. One relative was reportedly killed in the accident.
Police said a case has been filed against the driver of the truck.
