Patidar agitation leader Hardik Patel on Monday hit out at the BJP for allegedly planting a CD in which he is allegedly seen with a girl.

The video went viral on Youtube and one of the videos has been reportedly removed after Patel lodged a complaint.

Patel, who addressed media at the end of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) core committee meeting in Gandhingar, claimed that the CD was morphed and that he would give the details of what is right and what is wrong at a public meeting on November 18 in Mansa.

He also made a mention of the snooping scandal in which BJP national president Amit Shah was allegedly involved in the snooping on an architect. Shah was then a state minister.

Mentioning that it was beginning of dirty politics, Patel feared that more videos of his could surface. “Now, they will come out with a CD in which they will show me with three girls,” he said.

He criticised the persons concerned for intruding into the personal life of someone and pointed out that if someone talked about Jashodaben (Prime Minister Narendra Modi's estranged wife) then the BJP would say that it was a personal matter.

An angry Patel said that he has to get married and he would have children. “I am a Man,” he asserted.

The Congress also jumped into the controversy. Party's national spokesperson Shaktisinh Gohil said that the CD was baseless and during the period that is shown in the CD, Patel was bald. In the CD the person, who is seen, is not bald.

On the other hand, one Ashwin Sankarsariya of Patidar Anamat Sangharsh Samiti claimed that he had similar CDs of other conveners of PAAS. He has given four days time to Patel to prove that he is innocent.

On the issue of reservation for the Patidars, Patel said that the core committee had a meeting and a decision would be taken in a couple of days. The core committee discussed the formula presented to them by the Congress at a meeting held in Ahmedabad a few days ago.
