Despite Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's repeated requests to his MLS and party members to behave well in public, many in the party, who seem to be high on power, have been causing embarrassment to the CM.

On Tuesday, BJP MLA Shriram Sonker drove his vehicle to a 'no-entry' area in the heart of the city in Lucknow and when he was stopped by a traffic home guard, the MLA's supporters assaulted the home guard even as Sonker looked on.

When traffic sub-inspector Prem Shenker Shahi tried to intervene and solve the issue, he was threatened with dire consequences.

Shahi said MLA and his supporters had threatened to shoot traffic cops on duty and drove the vehicle through 'no-entry' area.

After the victim launched a complaint, the police arrested one person.

The MLA admitted that his vehicle had entered the ‘no-entry’ zone and was stopped by the cops on duty but refuted charges that his men roughed up the home guard on duty.

This is not the first time a BJP leader is causing embarrassment to the CM. In another incident, minister Swati Singh went to inaugurate a beer bar in the city. After the video of the inauguration went viral, the CM sought an explanation from the minister.

In yet another incident, a few days ago, minister Satyadev Pachauri's gunner forcibly entered the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan room of a hospital with his gun. The minister was admitted to the hospital after he fell unconscious during a function.

The magnetic field around the MRI machine pulled the pistol towards it and the machine was damaged. The repair would cost Rs 50 lakh.

When the hospital staff tried to stop him from entering the MRI scan room, he had threatened them.
