Online real estate advisor PropTiger has acquired Gurgaon-based startup 3DPhy, a pioneer in the field of virtual and augmented reality and 3D visualisations.

With this acquisition, PropTiger aims to boost its technological platform to further enhance its hi-tech marketing solutions for developers. Last year, PropTiger had acquired Bengaluru-based interactive technology firm OoBi. The latest move is seen as a step in the direction of bolstering its 3D capabilities.

By providing holistic, end-to-end technology and consulting solutions, PropTiger intends to offer greater flexibility and choice and improved user experience to its customers. The 3DPhy team will help PropTiger make the search experience more engaging. With its virtual walkthroughs, 3DPhy enables builders and brokers to showcase multiple properties over phones, laptops, tablets or head-mounted devices. This expanded technology offering, combined with the industry’s best talent and practice processes, creates a new level of capability for PropTiger.

Dhruv Agarwala, CEO, PropTiger.com and makaan.com, said, “With mobile devices overtaking desktops, the real estate sector has become one of the prime sectors where people want to have the ability to search anywhere and anytime, and that is a big priority for us. We are excited to work with 3DPhy and the acquisition reiterates our commitment to provide best in class user experience. It further solidifies our lead in the industry.”
