A boomerang video of ex-Big Boss contestants VJ Bani J. and hair stylist Sapna Bhavnani sharing a kiss on the beach took social media by storm on Monday. Capturing the moment, the video shows them kissing, well almost, as the sun sets in the background. Captioning the video on Instagram, Bhavnani wrote: "You are my Sunshine Bani."
Looking at the video, it is hard to tell if they were actually kissing or just pretending to do so. Either way, the video went viral within minutes after it was posted. This is not the first time that Bani and Bhavnani have shared a personal moment on social media. As close friends, they often hang out together and have been sharing pictures of their camaraderie on social media every now and then. However, the latest post by Bhavnani got them trending on social media, like none of their other posts. While Bhavnani is openly bisexual, Bani apparently is dating television actor Yuvraj Thakur.
Reacting to the attention the video has garnered, Bhavani took to Facebook to clarify that they were not kissing and the video to be just a snapshot of a boomerang, mini video that plays forward and backward. In a post, she said: "Just finished yoga and saw that Bani J and I are trending for a kiss which I wish was a kiss but really just a snapshot of a boomerang. India when will we move forward. Really! Sooooooooo Much attention for a KISS??? Dang people fighting for world peace don't trend so much!!! lol. Hope more women and men come out and kiss and show ya'll love does not have a gender. My life. My rules. Kisses to all. Men and Women and the Transgender."
