Dhinchak Pooja's YouTube videos pulled down, Twitterati relieved

The Internet is going crazy over the Kattappa jokes again. No, this time it is not about Baahubali, but Dhinchak Pooja—India's very own viral YouTube sensation. Fans are now going to miss watching Pooja crooning the popular Selfie meine le li aaj and Swag wali topi because the video sharing website has taken down her song videos. The reason being, someone by the name of Kathappa Singh has claimed copyright over them.

Now if you check Pooja's official YouTube page, you will not find those hit songs anymore. Well, there's still some hope. Her latest video, Dilon ka shooter, is still available. Pooja shot to fame on the internet after her songs like Selfie meine le li aaj and Swag wali topi became a rage.

What's so great about these songs, one might wonder. Absolutely gibberish lyrics, tone-deaf music and poor singing talent—this is what her songs are about. Though the songs have gone viral for all the wrong reasons and she has been widely trolled and criticised, what's surprising is that her channel has 1,82,623 subscribers, and the numbers are growing. Her latest Dilon ka shooter which she released 'on public demand' after the first few videos went viral, has over 6 million views.

The news has generated a buzz on Twitter, too, with most users heaving a sigh of relief that the videos have been taken down. While some take a dig at her music, others wonder why would someone copy such songs.
