With his entry into state cabinet getting delayed, Narayan Rane's frustration seems to be growing with each passing day.

Rane is very upset that he is yet to become a minister in the Devendra Fadnavis government. He has been trying hard to convince the BJP leadership to ensure expansion of state cabinet. BJP leaders, on the other hand, are in no hurry to carry out the exercise.

Rane is so restless that he is no mood to understand BJP's dilemma—pacifying Shiv Sena after Rane is made the minister. An angry Rane is now on the verge of issuing an ultimatum of sorts to the BJP. He said that Fadnavis should take the decision before his patience is exhausted. "Don't test my patience," said Rane.

Rane said he will be meeting the chief minister soon to discuss a number of issues, and wants state cabinet expansion to take place at the earliest. Rane also expressed his firm opposition to the Green Refinery project in the coastal Konkan region.

He said that Shiv Sena leaders and officebearers had purchased tracts of land where the project is slated to come up. He also threatened that his party will make sure that the project is cancelled.

Rane quit the Congress in September and formed his own Maharashtra Swabhiman Paksha. His party has declared support to NDA governments at the Centre and in Maharashtra. He is now eagerly awaiting his inclusion in the cabinet and his remarks about patience running out is clearly seen as an ultimatum of sorts to the Maharashtra chief minister.
