Samsung has unveiled two new devices from its J series—the Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro. After launching the high-end phones like the Galaxy S8, Samsung has launched these two new models targeted for the mid-range segment.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max is a 5.7 inch device, which is powered by a 1.6 GHz Octa-core processor, a 3,300mAH battery and 4GB of RAM. The J7 Pro is a comparatively smaller device with 5.5 inch screen size, 1.6 Octa-core Exynos processor with 3GB RAM and a 3,600mAH battery.
Samsung Mini Pay, a new, customised version of Samsung’s digital payment solution will be available for these two devices. It is designed to cater to the Indian mid segment consumers and provides a comprehensive platform for UPI and e-wallets. Samsung Pay Mini will be launched first on Galaxy J7 Max and will be made available on select existing J series devices shortly.
Both the smartphones sport a 13-megapixel front camera with an f1.9 lens and back camera (flat back in Galaxy J7 Pro) with an f1.7 lens, and flash, features. The rear camera, too, is 13 megapixels with f1.7 aperture.
Social Camera, another new feature introduced in these devices enables instant sharing of a picture on various social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and WhatsApp. This feature was developed by the engineers from the Bangalore R&D centre.
Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro are priced at Rs 17,900 and Rs 20,900, respectively, in black and gold colours. Galaxy J7 Max will be available across retail stores starting June 20, 2017 while Galaxy J7 Pro will be available mid-July onwards.
