The Gujarat BJP on Sunday hit out at Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut for suggesting that Kangana Ranaut call Ahmedabad “mini Pakistan” and dragging the state’s name in the spat between him and actress Kangana Ranaut.

For the last couple of days, Kangana and Raut have been having an exchange of words over the former’s return to Mumbai.

While speaking to a section of reporters, Raut had said that Kangana calls Mumbai mini-Pakistan. “Does she have the courage to say the same about Ahmedabad?”

Gujarat BJP spokesperson Bharat Pandya took strong objection to what Raut said. Pandya said that by dragging Ahmedabad in their spat and calling Ahmedabad mini Pakistan, Raut has insulted Gujarat.

Pandya demanded that Raut should apologize to the people of Ahmedabad.

The BJP spokesperson reminded Raut that Gujarat is the land from where Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel came. He also went on to add that it was under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah that Article 370 was removed.
