Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee has said he does not support the use of sex and violence to attract audience on the web space.

According to media reports, the actor, who will be next seen in Amazon Prime's The Family Guy and Netflix's Mrs. Serial Killer, said while the web space gives creators plenty of freedom, it is important to be responsible. "Using sex and violence just to attract the eyeballs is something that I don't agree with when it is not even required," he was quoted by IANS as saying.

Earlier, Bollywood star Salman Khan had said he wants censorship for content available on the web space as well and added that there should be a body set up for the purpose. The actor had said he does not like web content although he agrees that it is a good space. Pointing out that films gets censored and are given 'A' certificate for their content, he said the web space shows "anything and everything." “There is no censorship. There should be an appointed body that takes that call. My problem is that young kids are also watching it because everyone has access to a phone. So, that’s not cool with me," he had told Hindustan Times in an interview.

However, Bajpayee is opposed to such a view. The actor said directors should be given he right and freedom to censor the content they offer. He added that the directors need to be trusted upon to do this.
