The Dhurandhar juggernaut continues to roll on at top speed and it doesn't seem like stopping anytime soon. After recording a historic second weekend of Rs 130-135 crore nett, the Ranveer Singh starrer not only had a great hold on the weekdays but also maintained unprecedented levels of collections.
When most films would be happy with an opening day of Rs 29 crore nett, that is the figure Dhurandhar recorded on its second Monday and Tuesday. The second Wednesday did show a drop but that is only expected for a film that is going berserk at the box office. Still, the figures of Rs 24.50 crore nett are exceptional.
On its 14th day, the trend continues to be fab for Dhurandhar as it has got to Rs 8.50 crore nett with the prime time shows and night shows still left. It is looking at another Rs 20 crore nett day for sure and should be close to Wednesday's figures when the final numbers come out. Winters in North India are a slight hindrance but the audience seem unfazed by the weather.
After two weeks of theatrical run in India, Dhurandhar would be around Rs 435 crore nett it has gone past $17 million overseas as well. The RS 700 crore mark is set to be touched tonight or by the morning shows of the third Friday. At this speed, Rs 600 crore nett is guaranteed and now the question is whether it can break Pushpa 2's Hindi version records.
For now, sky is the limit for Dhurandhar and the way it has performed, the sequel could set benchmarks of a different level if it manages to get accepted like the first part.
