A day after Bollywood actor Govinda paid glowing tribute to later actor Kader Khan with whom he appeared in several films, calling him "a father figure", Kader Khan's son Sarfaraz revealed that Govinda never even bothered to call the family after the demise of Kader Khan.

According to media reports, Sarfaraz who is also an actor, said "Please ask Govinda how many times he inquired about his 'father figure's' health. Has he even bothered to call us even once after my father's passing away?". Sarfaraz further said there are no real feelings in the industry for anyone who contributed to Indian cinema when they are not active anymore in the field, reveal media reports.

“This is the way our film industry has become. There are no real feelings for those who have contributed to Indian cinema when they're no longer active," he was quoted as saying.

After the passing away of Kader Khan, Govinda, in an Instagram post, said, "He was not just my "ustaad" but a father figure to me, his midas touch and his aura made every actor he worked with a superstar. The entire film industry and my family deeply mourns this loss and we cannot express the sorrow in words. I pray to God that may his soul rest in peace."

Sarfaraz told news agency IANS that his father used to fondly remember Amitabh Bachchan. "The one person that my father loved the most was Bachchan saab (Amitabh Bachchan). I'd ask my father whom he missed the most from the film industry and the answer promptly would be Bachchan saab. And I know the love was mutual. I want him to know that my father spoke about him till the end," Sarfaraz was quoted as saying to IANS.

Bachchan, who has worked with Khan in blockbusters such as Do Aur Do Paanch, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Mr. Natwarlal, Suhaag, Coolie and Shahenshah, took to Twitter to remember the late actor. "Kader Khan passes away. Sad depressing news. My prayers and condolences. A brilliant stage artist a most compassionate and accomplished talent on film...A writer of eminence; in most of my very successful films. A delightful company and a mathematician," Bachchan wrote.
