Amitabh Choudhary, acting secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will submit a report to the Committee of Administrators (CoA) on events that led to Anil Kumble's exit as Team India coach.

Choudhary will also reportedly submit reports of team manager Anil Patel during the home season. He will submit the reports on June 24—two days ahead of the BCCI special general meeting (SGM) called by CoA to discuss the Lodha Reforms. The BCCI has also been asked to submit a report filed by Cricket Advisory Committee to it on the same issue.

A well placed source, describing the developments in London, said, "Things went berserk in London." The Vinod Rai-led Supreme Court committee reportedly is upset about Kumble's exit especially after Rai had suggested Kumble should continue till West Indies series is completed after a meeting with Kohli, Kumble, BCCI officials and the Cricket Advisory Committee. The CoA is reportedly already upset with BCCI top officials for letting the differences between the duo continue till late. The news of a rift between the captain and coach only emerged when the team left for England to defend its Champions Trophy title. Till then reportedly, the CoA was not aware of exact problems between the two and it asked the Cricket Advisory Committee, which includes legends Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and V.V.S. Laxman, to resolve the differences between the two even as the process of finding a new coach kick started.

Kumble's contract ended on June 20 and he withdrew from the race of head coach for Team India after BCCI officials informed him that Kohli continued to have reservations with his style of functioning and continuing as coach.

Whether the CAC will ask for fresh applications post Kumble's withdrawal or pick from existing candidates remains to be seen.
