Pakistan’s warning to illegal migrants to leave the country has hit hard thousands of unregistered immigrants from Afghanistan. Fearing detention and deportation, tens of thousands are heading to border areas. Amid the rising crisis, Taliban on Saturday appealed to Afghanistan’s private sector to help people fleeing Pakistan’s deportation drive.

Though Pakistan said it is targeting all illegal migrants in the country, Afghans are the worst hit as they come around 37 lakh.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Kabul urged Afghanistan's private sector to step forward and help.

As many as 2,50,000 Afghans left Pakistan before an October 31 deadline.

Taliban authorities have also established a commission to provide essential services to the returnees, including temporary accommodation, food, health services and transporation.

The mass deportation drive also marks a spike in tensions between Pakistan and the Taliban.

Pakistan says Afghans are responsible for carrying out suicide attacks in the country and accuses the Taliban of harboring such militants. However, the Taliban denied the allegations.

Reportedly, Taliban's acting defence minister in Kabul, Muhammad Yaqoob Mujahid issued a warning to Pakistan. "Pakistan should face the consequences of its actions and reap what it sows," he said.

The recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan comes amid thousands of Afghans are being deported. The Mianwali Training Air Base of Pakistan Air Force was attacked by nine terrorists on Saturday early morning and multiple planes in the facility were destroyed in the attack, according to the Pakistani military.

Nine terrorists were “sent to hell”, said Pakistani Army.

Tehreek-i-Jihad Pakistan (TJP), a militant group affiliated of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack.

On Friday, 14 soliders were killed in an ambush in Balochistan.
