Telangana: 12 ministers to be sworn-in along with CM-elect Revanth Reddy?

 Along with Congress leader and CM-designate Anumula Revanth Reddy, a deputy chief minister and 12 cabinet ministers are expected to take oath today.

The swearing-in ceremony would be held at the sprawling LB Stadium on Thursday afternoon. About one lakh people are expected to attend the event. Besides Reddy, Congress MLA-elect and CLP leader in the previous Assembly Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka is likely to take oath as deputy chief minister. Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar will be attending the swearing-in ceremony. Leaders of the INDIA alliance are also expected to attend.

According to reports, besides Revanth Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka is likely to get sworn in on Thursday as deputy CM. Besides them, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Damodar Raja Narasimha, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Dana Anasuya, Tummala Nageswar Rao, Konda Surekha and Jupally Krishna Rao are also likely to get sworn-in on Thursday, NDTV reported.

Revanth Reddy had made an open invitation to people to attend the swearing-in ceremony, stating that his government would be a 'people's one that will provide democratic and transparent governance.' The swearing-in ceremony is expected to be held at 1.04pm. About one lakh people are expected to attend the event.

As per the strength of the Assembly, Telangana can have 18 ministers including the CM. The Congress wrested power from the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) in the recent Assembly polls and won 64 out of the total 119 seats.
