On July 20, pictures of Rajinikanth driving a brand-new Lamborghini car went viral. The superstar fans were on cloud nine, seeing their Thalaivar driving. Minutes later, pictures of the superstar with his daughter Soundarya and her family, with the new car in the background, also were widely shared.
A day later, a video of Rajinikanth, going for his routine morning walk at his farm house in Kelambakkam, in Chengalpattu district, around 36km from Chennai, went viral.
However, Rajinikanth’s Lamborghini drive, his morning walk at his farm house and the viral images, are being trolled on social media. After reports emerged that Rajinikanth had travelled to Kelambakkam, many people on social media also questioned whether Rajinikanth had obtained an e-pass for travelling to another district as is the new norm.
Two days later, as per the e-pass details which was put out by the Greater Chennai Corporation, the date of travel shows July 23. Rajinikanth, however, was seen driving his Lamborghini to reach his farm house on July 20, as per the photos that went viral on the social media. Also, the e-pass mentioned the reason for travel as “medical emergency”. Apparently, Rajinikanth was seen walking in his farm house, as per the video that went viral on July 21, making it clear that the superstar was in good health. But it is not known if Rajinikanth travelled to his farm house to meet anyone close to him, who was in medical emergency.
Also, the e-pass mentions Rajinikanth’s Lamborghini as an Innova/SUV. Incidentally, the vehicle options given by the government in this column does not have the Lamborghini option and so, his car falls under the SUV category.
