In his classic style, making the announcement, Haasan penned a heartfelt note for Superstar Rajinikanth.
Dear Rajini,
The winds that once scattered us have now brought us together — embraced and made us one.
Like two icy peaks melting at the summit, we flowed down as two gentle rivers.
Once again, we shall become the wind.
My dearest beloved, who sheltered us —
when the red soil that guards us thirsts,
we shall rain upon it, rejoice, and flourish.
Long live the sacred land where our art was born.
