Of late, Bollywood movies have been faring particularity well in China. Ayushmann Khurrana and Radhika Apte-starrer Andhadhun emerged a major box office draw in China, with the movie collecting over Rs 300 crore in the country. Last year, Dangal too had done good business in China.
Considering how well Indian movies have been doing China, there are now reports that Nerkonda Paarvai, the official remake of Bollywood courtroom drama Pink, starring Ajith Kumar in the lead, will be released simultaneously in India, US, UK, Singapore and in China. If this release happens, Nerkonda Paarvai will be Ajith's first movie to be released in China.
While Ajith will play the role of the lawyer essayed by Amitabh Bachchan in the original, Vidya Balan is set to play the Tamil star's wife. The movie also stars Shraddha Srinath and Abhirami Venkatachalam. Shraddha will reprise Taapsee Pannu’s role in the Bollywood movie.
Nerkonda Paarvai will be directed by directed by H. Vinoth, whose earlier directorial ventures include Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru and Sathuranga Vettai.
The Tamil remake of Pink will be produced by Boney Kapoor. Currently, post production works of Nerkonda Paarvai is underway, according to media reports.
