Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has refused to comment on the allegations made against him by Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli, saying he will never utter a word against his children.

Rangoli had tweeted that the veteran filmmaker had treated Kangana poorly, to the extent of throwing a footwear at the actor when she was new in the industry.

At the screening of his actor-wife Soni Razdan's new film Yours Truly on Tuesday, Bhatt was asked to comment on the accusations.

"Our morals teach us that we don't point fingers at our children. These are our children and to speak against them will serve your purpose but will clash with our way of living," Bhatt told reporters.

"She (Kangana) is a child who started her journey with us. If her relative has said something, for me to speak about that will only drag the matter. Till we die, we won't speak anything ill about our children," he added.

Kangana made her debut in Bollywood with the 2006 film, Gangster, which was produced by Bhatt.

The filmmaker said if abusing him helps people to run their shops, then he is fine with it.

"But I won't speak ill about my junior, our women and children. My morals, my nature, my belief stops me from doing that."
