MICROSOFT-INDIA/

In keeping with the global trend of cutting jobs, tech giant Microsoft has recently sacked nearly 1,000 employees across vertices. This is the third layoff by the company in recent times.

According to Axios, the layoffs took place across different levels and teams across the world.

Several of the Microsoft employees, who lost jobs, confirmed on different social media platforms about the layoff, even as the company refused to confirm how many people were let go.

“Like all companies, we evaluate our business priorities on a regular basis, and make structural adjustments accordingly. We will continue to invest in our business and hire in key growth areas in the year ahead,” Axios quoted Microsoft as saying in a statement.

In July, Microsoft had sacked nearly one per cent of its 1,80,000 employees across different offices and vertices. A month later, the company had sacked another 200 employees.

A recent survey had revealed that over 50 per cent of the CEOs in the US are considering reducing the workforce.
