My personal style is: I like to keep it fluid. I swing between being minimalist and maximalist. I love having fun with fashion. But yes, statement jewellery rules.
My personal style icon: Jane Birkin, Grace Kelly and Dimple Kapadia.
An item in my wardrobe that means a lot to me: A super-cool jacket dress with diffused floral print by Gaurav Gupta. It’s from one of his first few shows in the early 2000s. He gifted it to me right after I walked wearing it for his show. It really is timeless as I wore it recently at the Berlin Film Festival. It’s one of a kind and one of my favourites.

My favourite souvenir from my travels is: This vintage hair clip I bought from a beautiful boutique store in Le Marais, Paris. It owns my heart.

The best gift I have received: This oversized nose ring or a ‘nath’ (also called Nathuli in Pahadi origin). It’s from my father’s native place in Himachal Pradesh, and was gifted to my mother for their wedding. It’s just exquisite.
The best gift I have given: I don’t know. You will need to ask the receiver.
The last thing I bought: A pair of charcoal grey jeans from the high-street label Cos. I love them a little extra.

The last book I read: ‘The Creative Act: A Way of Being’ by Rick Rubin.

The last film I loved: The Oscar-nominated ‘Anora ’ by Sean Baker.
My Spotify list would include these songs: ‘What a wonderful world’ by Louis Armstrong; ‘Faith’ by George Micheal; ‘Survivor’ by Destiny’s Child, ‘Apt’ by Rose (I got this one from my daughter); and ‘Ajeeb dastan hai yeh’ by Lata Mangeshkar.
My beauty/ wellness routine is: Water and lemon first thing in the morning, 20 minutes of chanting, 30 minutes of yoga. And of course my cleaner, toner, sunscreen and moisturiser routine.
My favourite holiday destination: Spain. I live there now. Kerala is also my forever favourite.
I love to collect: Accessories, for myself and my home, from my travels. I just love all things local.
My fridge always has: Magnets on it, they hold my friends and family together. Inside the fridge are too many funky things.
Minimalism or maximalism: I ping-pong between the two.
My home looks like: An extension of me and mine. It is minimal always, it’s also a work in progress, just as we are. I love simple things with statement pieces. I like to keep adding and changing things around too.

My favourite mix of traditional and contemporary is: To embrace tradition and keep having fun with the rest, and make it your own.
My best ideas come when: I rise early and have done my morning rituals. I am on fire then on.
The best way to spend Rs 20,000 is: Go for a movie and get a delicious dinner with friends. Some mindless shopping and go home and sleep.
My idea of happiness is: Live and let live.
