After striking box office gold with Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh is set to continue the golden (hopefully) run with some interesting projects lined up in the coming year. There is, of course, Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar: Part 2 — which will pick up from where the first one left off— and two other big-scale projects — Pralay (tentative title) and Don 3.

Mid Day reports that Pralay will start rolling after the third part of the Don franchise is completed. The latter will see Farhan Akthar, who helmed the first two films starring Shah Rukh Khan, returning to the director's chair.

The former, which comes from filmmaker Jai Mehta, is touted as a post-apocalyptic (zombie?) thriller which holds much promise. Set in a dystopian Mumbai (and a few other unspecified locations), Pralay is expected to begin production by the middle of next year.

Interestingly, Mehta is a filmmaker from the independent scene who also happens to be the son of acclaimed filmmaker Hansal Mehta, with whom he co-directed the widely celebrated true crime series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story.

The news seems to align with an earlier report on the project in Pinkvilla, which also stated it would likely start after Don 3. A source quoted by the portal also described the project as along the lines of Hollywood zombie thrillers like World War Z and I Am Legend. "It’s a film that requires prolonged pre-production, as the makers will be aiming to create a complete new world. The tone of the film is on the lines of World War Z and I Am A Legend, where the leading man has to fight multiple evils for the sake of his family."
