Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad director Ashish Nanda resigned on Thursday citing personal reasons. His resignation has been accepted by board of governor of IIM-A Kumar Mangalam Birla.
Nanda's last working day would be September 1, 2017.
He is an alumnus of IIM-A and came back to India to head the premier business institute from Harvard University. He has been the director for about three and a half years.
In his resignation letter, he is supposed to have said that living a long distance from his wife and son was a challenge. They stay in the US.
Nanda emerged as a soft spoken person.
