The Ukraine-Russia conflict showed the world how infantry or tank units can't ultimately dictate terms on battlefields anymore. Drones -- both airborne and on the ground -- are a potent weapon that can crumble the enemy's superior manpower or machinery in a matter of days if not hours. Both Russia and Ukraine have been using their respective drone units to take out enemy personnel, armoured vehicles and tanks on the frontlines. There were reports that Kim Jong-Un decided to send his "Storm Troopers" all the way to Kursk so that Russia could educate them to use and counter these Unmanned Flying Vehicle (UFV) that have become synonymous with mass destruction.
The introduction of FPV Drones was critical in revealing before the world the consequences of asking soldiers to take on attack drones. An FPV or 'First Person View' can transmit a live video feed from its onboard camera to a pilot's goggles or monitor, allowing the pilot to see and control the drone from the drone's perspective. On battlefields, these footages come to an end when the drone strikes its target and explodes.

Both Russia and Ukraine have released numerous visuals of hapless soldiers, many of them clueless about the fast-approaching danger, being blown into bits by drone strikes. Some try to gun down the UFVs while others scram for cover. Even most modern tanks become immobile after being struck repeatedly by two or three attack drones, these footages have shown.
The fear of imminent drone strikes is taking a toll on the morale of men on the ground. Meanwhile, another video has gone viral on the internet that showed a Russian attack drone flying over a settlement to take out several Ukranian soldiers. Those who shared the viral video showed it was shot at Donetsk Oblast's Konstantinovka which is closer to the frontlines. The footage begins with the drone flying over the picturesque village at a high speed before gradually slowing down and dropping altitude as it approaches an enemy armoured vehicle.
The Ukrainian army was deploying men at the frontlines near Konstantinovka, pro-Russian X handles claimed. The FPV drone waits as the door on the back of the vehicle opens. However, before the soldiers inside can exit, the drone makes a swift push through the half-open door towards the men inside. The video captured the soldiers spotting the drone at the last second and panicking -- probably alerted by the buzzing sound. But there was little for them to do as the pilot had already made it inside.
Some users said that it is extremely difficult to fly a drone like that over enemy lines and take out multiple targets. By the looks of it, the Russian pilot should have been an expert, they claimed.

THE WEEK couldn't independently verify the authenticity of the video. It is believed that more than 100,000 Russian soldiers killed since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022. As of April 30, Kyiv has lost a total 951,960 lives.
