Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle reportedly called King Charles III to wish him on his 75th birthday on Tuesday, November 14. The couple broke their silence towards the royal family after six months to wish the king a happy birthday. The monarch is known to have spoken to his son and daughter-in-law amid a packed itinerary that had been planned for his birthday.

The couple, Meghan and Harry stepped down as senior royals in January 2020. The couple since moved to Canada, and then later to California. The couple, while in America, had a daughter, Lilibet. While stepping down as working royals, they said that it was because of the negative, biased press Meghan faced because of her race.

In a reveal-all docu-series, they talked in depth about the bias Meghan faced and how a certain royal speculated the skin colour of their unborn son, Archie, and about how the then Duchess of Cornwall passed on private conversations to the media to balance the negative press she had gotten because of Princess Diana. The couple have also openly talked about their differences with different members of the family including Prince William and Princess Catherine.

King Charles III had recently expressed that he was open to repairing relations with his second son. After Harry and Meghan moved out of the UK, they were stripped of their titles. The trio has plans to talk again.
