Twitter, on Saturday, disabled a video retweeted by US President Donald Trump after receiving a complaint on copyright violation.

A Reuters report said that the campaign-style video, which included music from the band Linkin Park, was removed from the president’s Twitter feed with the notification, “This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner.”

The video tweeted by White House social media director Dan Scavino was retweeted by Trump on Saturday. However, upon receiving a Digital Millennium Copyright Act notice from Machine Shop Entertainment, Twitter proceeded to remove the video from the platform.

Machine Shop Entertainment is owned by Linkin Park.

This is not the first time that Twitter has removed content from the president’s feed. It has been consistently challenging Trump’s tweets since the last couple of months, and has removed his tweets or disabled them because of their policy against threatening violence and copyright complaints.

Following Trump’s hard stance against protesters following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Twitter had hid his tweet for violating its policy against “glorifying violence”, but said that the tweet remained accessible in the public interest.

Last month, Twitter removed an image that Trump had tweeted after receiving a complaint from the New York Times that it was a picture shot by their photographer that the president had posted.
