It doesn't seem to be a good phase for Rajasthan Royals during the off-season. Since IPL 2025 ended, the major news regarding the tournament was regarding Sanju Samsonm's future with the franchise and his alleged links with Chennai Super Kings. After weeks of speculation, the Kerala batter put that matter to rest but officially requesting the RR management for a release last month. How that works out, only time will tell.
If Samson's request wasn't a big shock in itself, the Royals then had to endure the exit of head coach Rahul Dravid whose stint at the franchise turned out to be very short. Theories are rife about why Dravid chose to leave after just one season but again, they are speculations and nothing more at this point. On Tuesday (September 9), another of RR's key personnel opted to leave - CEO Lush McCrum

McCrum's relations with RR go back a long way and he had donned multiple hats for the franchise before taking up the role as CEO recently.
Much like the Samson saga and Dravid's exit, the reasons for McCrum's resignation also appear to be unknown at this point. It was in 2017 that McCrum joined RR, taking the post of General Manager but within the next two years, the Englishman's rise was meteoric as he became the CEO of the franchise in 2019. McCrum has also been associated with the other franchises of the Royals family, namely Barbados Royals in Caribbean Premier League and Paarl Royals in the SA20.
