India won the first Test against Bangladesh by an innings and 130 runs on Saturday in Indore. India's formidable bowling was too much to handle for Bangladesh as the visitors were sent back to the pavilion on the third day of the Test.

Bangladesh crumbled like a pack of cards before the Indian bowling attack led by Mohammed Shami, who scalped three wickets. Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Ashwin took two wickets each.

Senior-most player Mushfiqur Rahim, who scored a gritty half-century, was the lone warrior for Bangladesh.

Earlier in the day, India declared their first innings overnight at 493 for 6, with a lead of 343 runs.
