A desperate-to-win Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in an Indian Premier League match at Eden Gardens on Friday.
Having topped the league at one point, Kolkata Knight Riders have seen a steady decline as they suffered losses in the last three matches―against Delhi Capitals at Eden and twice against Chennai Super Kings. Kolkata are now placed sixth in the points table with 8 points from as many matches.
Royal Challengers Bangalore can take advantage of the opportunity and post a much-needed win after losing seven out of eight matches in the tournament so far. RCB is currently positioned at the bottom of the table with just 2 points.
Kolkata will look to get back on track in the league with a win against a last-placed Bangalore side. To make the playoffs, KKR need to win at least four of their remaining six matches.
