The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Sunday alleged that the entire country was facing an emergency-like situation. Hours after being released from detention, the party's leadership held a press conference and confirmed that the protests would now become a pan-India movement.
"I appeal to the youth to take to the streets in peaceful protests. This system is corrupt and operates to serve two people: Modi and Shah," Jan Satta quoted him as saying.
The CJP has been protesting against alleged irregularities in voter rolls and demanding Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar's resignation. Its leaders have accused the authorities of using preventive detentions and restrictions to prevent people from joining the agitation.
Referring to the condition imposed on their release, leader Saurav Das said, "They have said there should be no breach of peace for one year. The breach of peace has been caused by Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and Gyanesh Kumar."

- "The protests are on... Protests will happen not just in Delhi but the whole country... This protest will not stop till Gyanesh resigns."

- "The end of this government is near. All this is being done for one person, to save Gyanesh Kumar. I want to ask what information Gyanesh Kumar has that the government is protecting him?"
- "The protesters just want to present their problems to the government. They are trying to tarnish the image of our movement by closing more than 50 metro stations, shops, and roads. The government has completely lost control. All this is being done to protect Gyanesh Kumar, who is a number one traitor. The government is afraid that these awakened youth will demand answers. That's why they are resorting to violence."
- "They want to discredit the Gen-Z movement. As soon as we landed, the police immediately entered the plane and kidnapped us. This is the same government that sent Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya abroad on planes. We knew we would be detained, but this is how we were kidnapped."
