Three people, including the CEO of a private IT company, have been arrested for the alleged gangrape of the company’s manager after a party in Udaipur, police said on Friday.

All three, which included the female executive head, her husband and the CEO of the firm, were produced before a court.

The incident occurred on December 20th at a birthday and New years party hosted by the CEO of GKM IT Private Limited, Jitesh Sisodia, at Shobagpura.

According to the statement made by the victim to the police, she reached the party at around 9 pm. The event went on until around 1:30, and the woman, who began feeling unwell after consuming alcohol, had requested that she be taken back home. While she prepared to leave with others, the female executive head of the company, Shipa Sirohi, proposed an after-party.

The victim was forced into a car where the woman’s husband, Gaurav and the CEO Jeetesh Sisodia were waiting. The victim was reassured that she would be taken home.

On the way, they stopped to buy something resembling cigarettes, and she was allowed to smoke inside the car. She recalls that she was totally inebriated after consuming the substance and that she had no clear memory of what happened next. When she regained consciousness after some time, she realised she was being molested. She resisted and asked them to stop, but they refused. It is alleged that the three sexually assaulted her inside the car.

The imminent took place between 1:45 am and 5 am. The victim was then dropped off at her home. When she regained consciousness later, she noticed injuries and bruises on her body, including her private parts and experienced severe pain and weakness. She also found that her earrings, socks and undergarments were missing.

She underwent a medical examination at a private hospital, after which she approached the Udaipur police. A case was registered under the relevant sections of the BNS based on her statement.

The dashcam footage from the car proved to be a crucial piece of evidence in the investigation by officials.

The recordings revealed conversations and voices that confirmed the victim's suspicions.

The accused were arrested following the registration of a case at Sukher police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. They were produced before a court on Thursday and sent on a four-day police remand,” Udaipur Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal said.
