A video surfaced online of a portion of the Tawi River in Jammu collapsing. Local police and civilians had to intervene to rescue passengers who were travelling through the bridge.

Jammu and Kashmir has been battered by heavy rain for the past week, triggering flash floods, landslides, and a widespread disruption to life.
According to reports, the Fourth Bridge gave way due to the force of the Tawi River, which began to overflow due to heavy rains.
People can be heard yelling in the video for passengers to get to safety from the collapsing area.
The IMD issued an orange alert for Jammu on Wednesday for heavy rain in the region.
At least 32 people have been reported to be dead after a landslide struck the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine near Adhkuwari.
According to a post by Jitendra Singh, Divisional Commissioner of Jammu, Sh Ramesh Kumar has said that the entire Jammu division, except for the Poonch and Rajaouri districts, is still facing heavy rains.,

As of now, the Tawi River has receded. However, the Chenab River is still close to danger levels.
Electricity, mobile and internet services, and water supply have all been cut, and authorities are working to restore them.
SDRF, NDRF, Paramilitary, Army, and Air Force authorities are all working with the civil administration
Schools and colleges have been ordered to remain closed, and the general public is advised to refrain from non-essential movement for their safety.

He has also asked the public not to panic and cooperate with each other and the authorities.
