J&K: One militant killed in gunfire exchange with security forces in Kupwara

A militant has been killed in an ongoing gunfight between security forces and militants in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday. Reports said that the encounter took place at Krumbhoora, Zachaldara Rajwar.

Acting on specific intelligence regarding militant presence in the area, security forces launched a joint search operation. As the forces approached, the hiding militants opened fire, prompting retaliation and leading to a gun battle. The operation continues.
