Telugu Desam Party leader and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu criticised the AAP government in Delhi and said the national capital has a “half-engine” sarkar.
Campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party in Delhi, Naidu said the Aam Aadmi Party-led government model is a failure. Naidu said people should vote for a party that would provide inclusive growth.

Addressing presspersons in Delhi, the Andhra Pradesh chief minister said people are worried about staying in Delhi because of the weather and “political pollution". “There has been no development in the national capital,” Naidu asserted. Backing the Bharatiya Janata Party’s allegations, Naidu said the Yamuna is the most polluted river and “there is no difference between drainage water and drinking water in Delhi”.
"Politicians have to always think about today, tomorrow and the future. A government with good public policy can transform society," PTI reported quoting Naidu. Reiterating BJP’s slogan, the TDP chief said Delhi is governed by a "half-engine sarkar", and it needs a double-engine sarkar to achieve development. Naidu added Delhi needs Prime Minister Narendra Modi's model of development now.

“Poor people in Delhi have to think if they want to live permanently in slums. Performance and better living standards are becoming relevant and not ideology,” Naidu said. A key ally of the ruling National Democratic Alliance in the Centre, Naidu said his party fully supports the recently tabled Union budget.
He said the budget aims to achieve “Viksit Bharat” by 2047. "We are in agreement with them. We are happy. It syncs with our 10 principles of growth," he added.
