OYO Founder's father dies falling off from 20th floor of high-rise building

Ramesh Agarwal, father of OYO Rooms' founder  Ritesh Agarwal died after falling from a high-rise building in Gurugram on Friday, police said.

According to police, the autopsy has been completed and the body has been handed over to kin. “Ramesh Agarwal, the father of OYO founder Ritesh Agarwal, died after falling off the 20th floor in DLF The Crest, Sector 54, Gurugram,” ANI reported quoting Virender Vij, DCP East. 

Quoting police, NDTV reported that Ramesh Agarwal was taken to Paras Hospital for treatment. A police team along with SHO sector 53 visited the place of occurrence and during the inspection, they identified the victim as Ramesh Parsad Agarwal. “He was brought dead to Paras Hospital," the publication reported quoting police.

Ramesh Agarwal was recently spotted at the wedding of his son Ritesh Agarwal to Geetansha Sood. The couple hosted a high-profile wedding reception at Delhi recently. 

In a statement, Ritesh Agarwal said, "With a heavy heart, my family and I, would like to share that our guiding light and strength, my father, Ramesh Agarwal passed away on 10 March. He lived a full life and inspired me and so many of us, every single day. His death is a tremendous loss for our family. My father's compassion and warmth saw us through our toughest times and carried us forward. His words will resonate deep in our hearts. We request everyone to respect our privacy in this time of grief."
