Incumbent minister of Co-operation, Tourism and Devasom, Kadakampally Surendran is leading in Kazhakkoottam that is witnessing a three-cornered battle with UDF's S.S. Lal and NDA's Sobha Surendran. Kadakampally is leading by over 9,000 votes from the constituency.

Congress-backed Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP)’s K.K. Rema has extended her lead by over 5,000 votes in Vadakara. She is pitted against Manyath Chandran of the Loktantrik Janata Dal, which is part of CPI(M)-led LDF (Left Democratic Front), and Advocate M. Rajesh Kumar of the BJP-led NDA (National Democratic Alliance).

Rema is the widow of slain RMP leader T.P. Chandrasekharan.

Meanwhile, actor and NDA candidate Suresh Gopi is leading against UDF's Padmaja Venugopal by more than 3,700 votes in Thrissur.

Meanwhile, UDF's Mani C. Kappan is leading by over 10,000 votes against LDF's Jose K. Mani in Pala. The two Manis were earlier engaged in a see-saw contest but as counting progressed Pala voters seem to have backed the former NCP leader. In 2016, Jose K. Mani's father late K.M. Mani had won from the constituency.

Interestingly, the LDF is leading in most of the seats where its ally Kerala Congress (M) is contesting.
