Train services on a section of the Magenta Line of the Delhi Metro were suspended for an hour after a major fire broke out at a furniture market near Kalindi Kunj metro station in south Delhi on Friday morning.
The Magenta Line connects Janakpuri West in Delhi and Botanical Garden in Noida.

According to fire officials, the flames from the blaze had spread to pillar numbers 205 and 206. Soon after the incident, train services were stopped temporarily between Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh and Kalindi Kunj metro stations.
"The furniture market is spread over 2,000 square yards and the fire had spread rapidly as a large amount of wood and plastic material was stored in the area. Several furniture shops were gutted. However, no one was injured as the fire broke out early morning and the shops were yet to open," a senior official told PTI.
The reason for the fire is not immediately known.
Technical glitch hits Yellow Line
Meanwhile, services on a section of Delhi Metro's Yellow Line was briefly affected due to technical snag. The Yellow Line, one of the busiest lines in the Delhi Metro network, connects Samaypur Badli in north Delhi to HUDA City Centre in Gurugram.
Normal services have resumed later.
