Kangana Ranaut has taken potshots at Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray after the Sena controlled Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished “illegal” alterations at the Bollywood actor’s bungalow in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Taking to Twitter to voice her protests against the BMC’s action, Kangana, without naming the CM, said that he can oppress her and her voice, but lakhs will rise to reveal the truth. Calling him another “sample of dynasty”, she asked, “For how long will you run away from the truth?”

In another tweet, Kangana termed the Shiv Sena as ‘Sonia Sena’ as the ideology based on which Uddhav’s father and Sena founder Bala Saheb Thackeray built the party has been sold for power.

“The ideology on which Bala Saheb Thackeray built the Shiv Sena has been sold for power and made into Sonia Sena. The goons that demolished my house by acting behind my back should not be called the civic body, don’t insult the Constitution so,” read her tweet in Hindi.

Responding to a tweet by another user who appreciated former CM Devendra Fadnavis for his contributions to Maharashtra and keeping the Sena “in control”, Kangana said that the Shiv Sena has made a “corrupt government”.

“Because of these petty crimes that they do @Dev_Fadnavis ji must have suggested that BJP does alliance with them, one must never succumb to bullies, after loosing elections ShivSena shamelessly made milavat sarkar and turned in to Sonia Sena (sic),” Kangana tweeted.

The National Award winning actor’s bungalow and office building was partly demolished on Wednesday by the BMC for illegal alterations and violations. However, the move was termed politically driven as Kangana had compared Mumbai to “Pakistan-occupied Kashmir” when she said she feared living in the city and Sena leader Sanjay Raut told her to never return.

The Bombay High Court on Wednesday stayed the demolition of her property in Mumbai after it came to light that the BMC had given the orders to bring down the building ignoring Kangana’s reply to their notice.

A privilege motion against Kangana was also moved in the Maharashtra Assembly for her comments.
