To the delight of Vijay fans, the trailer of the actor's upcoming movie, Bigil, was released on Saturday.
The trailer shows him as an energetic footballer, a strict coach and a local don.
Bigil is the most awaited film of the year and appears to have all the elements for the actor's fans to cheer—romance, action, punch dialogues, comedy, drama and plenty of football.
The movie also promises some intrigue as Vijay dons different roles in the trailer.
The trailer shows Vijay coaching a women's football team. He is also touted as the pride of the nation.
The actor also appears as an older man. 'Verithanam', loosely translated as frenzy or wild excitement, runs through the 2 minute and 42 second long trailer, sending his fans into high excitement.
Bigil is directed by Atlee, who helmed Theri and Mersal for Vijay. Produced by ASG Entertainment at an whopping budget of around Rs 180 crore, Bigil has Nayanthara as the female lead. The film also stars Indhuja, Varsha Bollamma, Amritha and Reba Monica John as footballers besides Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Vivek and Yogi Babu.
The film is slated for a Diwali release.
