Ever since the release of Telugu blockbuster Baahubali, fans and media have been speculating on the relationship between its lead stars Prabhas and Anushka Shetty. There were even rumours that the two were planning to get married.
A few days ago, a report appeared on certain section of the media saying the two were house hunting in Los Angeles. However, in a recent interview to Mumbai Mirror, the actor clarified that the rumour that he will be marrying Anushka after the release of Saaho is baseless. He said he and Anushka are just good friends.
“Anushka and I are very good friends,” he said, and asked if there was something more between them, wouldn’t someone have spotted them together in the last two years.

He said the question about his relationship with Anushka was raised at the Karan Johar show as well and he let Rajamouli and Rana Daggubati answer it for him. The two had said there was nothing between the two.
On the work front, the actor is looking forward to the release of his big budget action movie, Saaho. In the same interview, the actor said he watched several Guy Ritchie films, David Fincher's Seven and Bryan Singer's Usual Suspects while preparing for his role in Saaho. “Sujeeth (director) designed this film... It is very interesting the way he wrote the script. I hope the audience likes this film,” PTI had quoted him as saying.
The actor said Saaho took two years to be made because the makers wanted to mount the action sequences on a big scale. "I did not want to give two years to Saaho after giving four years or so for Baahubali. But there was so much action and the action sequences required a lot of time. We worked on it for a year,” he was quoted as saying.
Saaho, which will release on August 30 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi, features Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor as female lead.
