Eminem's Stan is officially a part of Oxford Dictionary

Seventeen years after Eminem first released Stan, his hit single about a overzealous superfan, that song's title has officially entered the Oxford English Dictionary.

According to Oxford, "stan" can be used both as a noun ("an overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity") and a verb ("be an overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity"), reported Billboard.

The dictionary also lists the origin of the word as "Early 21st century: probably with allusion to the 2000 song Stan by the American rapper Eminem, about an obsessed fan."

Even the sample sentence for the noun makes a reference to Slim Shady.

The example reads, "He has millions of stans who are obsessed with him and call him a rap god."

This would not be the first time an artiste's lingo has made it to the dictionary: Kanye West's "cray," Drake's "YOLO" and Beyonce's "Bootylicious" were previously added to the Oxford English Dictionary.
