It is confirmed! Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar will star as the villain in Enthiran 2. An excited Akshay Kumar tweeted “Ending the year on a high note! Super excited to be a part of Robot 2 with the one & only @superstarrajini sir!” He tweeted a picture in which he is seen with Director S Shankar, A.R. Rahman and Rajinikanth.

— Akshay Kumar (@akshaykumar) December 16, 2015Amy Jackson, who played the female lead in Singh Is Bliing beside Akshay Kumar, will be the heroine for Enthiran 2. This will be Akshay Kumar's debut Tamil movie.
In the first movie Enthiran, Rajinikanth had played the hero Dr Vaseegaran and the villain robot Chitti. Shankar had tried to rope in Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger for the role, but the plan apprently did not take off.
Meanwhile, Shankar already announced the movie on Twitter, "2.0 shoot starts from tomorrow.. Excited!!"
