Rahul Raj Singh, accused of abetting the suicide of his actor girlfriend Pratyusha Banerjee, allegedly threatened to jump off a hospital building.
According to media reports, Rahul was admitted to Shree Sai Hospital in Kandivali East where he was being treated for depression. On Friday, he was taken to the police station for questioning and was later brought back to the hospital.
After reaching the hospital, he locked himself in a bathroom and refused to come out. Worried, the relatives sent for doctors who tried to convince him to come out of the bathroom. Rahul threatened to jump off the building, but the doctors managed to talk him out of it.
Rahul was discharged from the hospital after a psychiatric evaluation, but will continue to be on medication.
Dr Santosh Goel of the hospital said the psychiatrist who examined the late actor's boyfriend said Rahul was doing good.
