Dehradun, Nov 7 (PTI) Jenny, an unmarried mother and the central figure in the high-profile ‘Jenny case’, which caused a stir in Uttarakhand politics over two decades ago, has reiterated her demand to reopen the CBI case against senior Congress leader Harak Singh Rawat.

With the issue resurfacing ahead of assembly elections scheduled next year, Jenny, during a press conference, claimed that Harak Singh Rawat is the father of her son and demanded a DNA test.

She alleged that Rawat, who was a minister at the time, raped her, and that her son is his child.

Asserting the reopening of the CBI case against Rawat, she demanded that a DNA test be conducted. Jenny claimed that no blood samples were collected during the initial investigation.

The case first came to light in 2003, when Rawat was a minister in the government led by the then chief minister Narayan Dutt Tiwari.

As a result of the controversy, Rawat was forced to resign from his ministerial post.
