Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Queen Consort Camilla has tested positive for Covid-19. The wife of Britain's King Charles III has cancelled her upcoming engagements. Before testing positive she had been suffering symptoms of a cold. This is the second time she has contracted the virus. She tested positive for the virus at around the same time last year.

"With regret, she has therefore cancelled all her public engagements for this week and sends her sincere apologies to those who had been due to attend them," a statement from Buckingham Palace reads, according to an ANI report.

It is unclear whether the King is unwell or not. King Charles III has tested positive for Covid-19 twice now-- in March 2020 and again in February 2022. Both Camilla and Charles have been vaccinated.

The Queen Consort was scheduled to carry out several engagements across the West Midlands region of England, including celebrating the centenary of Elmhurst Ballet School in Edgbaston, Birmingham.

She was also set to visit the Southwater One Library in Telford to thank staff and representatives from outreach and voluntary groups for their contribution to the community.
