Darya Dugina, daughter of Alexander Dugin died in a car explosion in Moscow. Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin is known as 'Putin's brain'. He is also known to be behind Russia's military operations in Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea. Darya, a 29-year-old journalist supported Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The target of the attack could have been her father Alexander Dugin-- but this cannot be confirmed yet.

Alexander and his daughter were scheduled to travel back from an event on Saturday evening in the same car but Alexander made a last-minute change and travelled in a separate car, the Russian media reported. Unverified videos have been released, which show Alexander watching the wreck of his daughter's vehicle in shock. Alexander Dugin holds pro nationalist ideology and is believed to be close to the Russian President. Darya Dugina was recently sanctioned by the UK.

When evidence of war crimes taking place in Bucha in Kyiv began to emerge, Darya Dugina said the killings of civilians had been staged and the US had chosen the region as it sounded like the world 'butcher' in English.
