US President Joe Biden will visit Saudi Arabia and Israel next month. The trip, which is expected to take place in mid-July will include a meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, a Reuters report reads.

A spokesperson for the National Security Council said, "We have no further trip details to confirm, but we will announce as soon as we do."

The White will announce the trip soon-- it comes amid a global oil shortage caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. On Sunday, Biden said that any visit to Saudi would focus on more than oil. Biden also said that a decision hadn't been made regarding the visit yet.

The price of oil is a cause of concern for the US government as it crossed a record $5 per gallon recently. Biden, on his visit to Saudi, is also expected to discuss the nuclear deal with Iran. Iran recently deactivated cameras placed by IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) at its nuclear facilities.

The US, after Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed in 2018 pledged to make the crown prince a pariah. Mohammed Bin Salman has time and again denied any involvement in Khashoggi's murder.
